I don’t know how to feel. It’s Christmas season - a time to be jolly. But somehow the events in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro - pretty much the homeland of all Celdrans - leave me a little shellshocked.
Tweeting and doing social media charity work isn’t enough. Seriously.
But my family down in Cagayan de Oro will be doing something. My nephews and cousins, descendants of my Tito Nene of San Miguel will be starting a soup kitchen for people who have been affected by this tragedy. My sister flew down this morning to help them out by doing trauma therapy with her meditation group “Art of Living”.
So if you wish to donate to the Celdran Soup Kitchen in CDO, please make a donation to this bank account number for now. I already made a deposit (it’s better to send cash to projects already located in CDO and Iligan - saves time, shipping, and a carbon footprint - Seriously).

Or look for my relatives Tina Ansaldo Cruz, Marco, Gustavo, or Paolo Celdran Ansaldo and give donations directly to them if you know them. Also look for my sister Denise. All these guys are on facebook.
We’re not asking for much. Just a little bit to help folks out and make Christmas a little more meaningful for some.
