What a wonderful photoset of Intramuros…

Intramuros to Luneta

Our last destination for the photowalk would be the walled city of Intramuros. During the Spanish era, Intramuros is the considered Manila. That very small area was the capital city and those already outside the walls were considered suburbs. It really made me wonder that in that very small area, seven churches were built. Halos magkakatabi lang talaga eh. Ilang lakad mo lang may simbahan na naman. And take not, they were not just mere chapels but really big churches.

Sadly, World war 2 destroyed most of the walled city. The heritage built for hundreds of years were gone just in days. The seven churches were now reduced to 2. Only one survived, the San Agustin Church while the Manila Cathedral was a reconstruction.

Puerta Isabel, one of the gates of Intramuros.

I am really sorry, it’s just that I can’t help it. Hihihii.

Then it was deemed ‘bitin’ for us just to end the photowalk right there inside the walls so we decided to stretch the tour to Luneta Park which is just a couple of more walks.

So there, we had our last photo in front of Rizal Monument and then we said our goodbyes to each other, as for me… ahm, as usual, I almost did not talk. Haha. Ang tahimik ko na naman.

So there, I really enjoyed this photowalk and I hope I can attend some more and interesting photowalks or meetups or kahit anong trip. We walked approximately 6 kilometers. Damn, I’m weak. And then I have to endure the LRT ride from UN station to Monumento standing up, and the long line in bus. Good thing I managed to have a seat in the bus going home.
